雅思IELTS新手須知 3｜口說考試該怎麼準備？

台灣學校的英文教育相對來說側重在聽力、閱讀、寫作，口語能力在學校由於教學、評量方面不易掌握而難以幫助學生練習。

因此，學生在雅思考試這塊最常遇到的困境是聽力、閱讀、寫作可能還可以咬牙努力衝成績，然而就是拿口說沒辦法。真的要考試時也常因為自信不足、過於緊張、擔心文法不對而結結巴巴、言不達意。


究竟該怎麼準備雅思口試？

口試的型態就只是一直講話嗎？

可以講的話題那麼多，有沒有模式可循呢？



口試架構


口說考試實際上很短，大約只有11-14分鐘！ 其實和主考官聊著聊著，時間就在不知不覺中過去了~

口試前需要在外面等待，主考官會叫你的名字並邀請你進入口試的小房間，口試會全程錄音，主考官也會一邊做紀錄。


Part １
開場與自我介紹 (4~5分鐘)
考官會先自我介紹，並向你解說口試流程。
第一部分會問的問題通常都是請考生自我介紹，考官會問一些關於你自己的簡單問題，例如你的家人、興趣、學習等。 
讓考生可以從自己最熟悉的人事物開始說起，用意是協助考生放鬆心情、建立自信。

Part 2
特定題目詳答 (3~4分鐘)
考官會給你一張寫有特定主題的卡片，並請你針對該主題進行論述。
卡片會包含一些答題要點，幫助你在回答時更有方向，你也必須在回答中針對各項要點加以說明。 
看到題目後，你會有幾分鐘的時間為自己的論述內容做筆記， 然後會有1~2分鐘的時間進行回答與討論。 
針對您最初所說的內容，考官會提出1至2個簡短的延伸問題。

Part 3
雙向討論 (4~5分鐘)
第三部分主要是進一步討論與第二部分相同的主題。
與第二部分不同的是，第三部分將會是你與考官一來一往的對談，談話內容相對來說也更即興，你會有更多的發揮空間和考官分享自己的想法。



評分

考官會特別注意：

1. 你如何透過一系列的問題來傳達你對日常話題的想法

2. 你如何長篇幅的去闡述一個主題

3. 你如何組織思緒並以連貫順暢的方式表達

4. 你如何分析、討論和推測一些日常常見的議題


評分要點：

1. 流暢與連貫性 (邏輯是否明確、發言是否易懂)

2. 詞彙豐富度 (是否使用適當的詞彙表達)   

3. 文法 (文法的豐富度與是否適當)

4. 發音



準備方向

以下提供一些常出現或相似的問題，提供正在準備口試的考生們做參考：


一般性問題

  • What is the meaning of your name? 
  • Does your name affect your personality? 
  • Which is your favourite colour?
  • Do you think colours influence our life? How?


你的國籍/出生地 

  • Let's talk about your home town or city.
  • What kind of place is it?
  • Are there any historic monuments in your region?
  • Tell me something about a national festival in your country.
  • What places in your home city should a foreigner visit?
  • What's the most interesting part of your city?
  • Would you say it's a good place to live? (Why?)
  • What is people's favourite food in the country where you live?
  • Do you think that people have enough time for leisure now?


婚姻/家庭 

  • Describe a traditional wedding ceremony. 
  • How have weddings changed in recent years?
  • Do women still have too heavy a burden in their day to day life?
  • Are there any traditions concerning the birth of a baby?
  • Are the traditional roles within the family changing?
  • Why is the divorce rate increasing so rapidly? Is it a problem?
  • Is it acceptable for couples to live together without marrying?


職涯 

  • Describe a typical working day for you.
  • How do you see yourself in ten years time?
  • If you had the opportunity to change your job, what would you do instead?


教育 

  • What can be done to improve education in rural areas?
  • What can be done to close the gap between urban and rural areas?
  • Will any possible future changes affect your job in any way? 
  • Do you agree with private education? Why?
  • If you had the power, what changes would you carry out within education?
  • Who should bear the responsibility for payment of tuition fees?
