《Refund Policy》
- Full Tuition Refunds
For those receiving a student visa with an admission letter from the Chinese Culture University, you must give advanced notice if you want to lengthen or shorten the duration of your visa, and then leave Taiwan within 7 days. To apply for a tuition refund you must fill out the appropriate documents and turn them in before the new term starts. If you miss the period to apply for a tuition refund, the school follows the Ministry of Education's guidelines : (please refer to B. Partial Tuition Refunds). The following are the circumstances in which a student can apply for a full tuition refund from the MLC:
(1) If a student has paid for their next term of tuition in advance but cannot extend or obtain a visa, ejected by the Immigration Office in Taiwan.
(2) If a student has paid for their next term of tuition in advance and the university does not commence the student's class as scheduled.
(3) If a student has paid for their next term of tuition in advance and is expelled from the MLC for not achieving a grade of at least 60%(final grade for whole semester).
(4) If a student who is with a student visa has paid for their next term of tuition in advance but was absent for more than 30 hours the previous semester and subsequently expelled from the school. - Partial Tuition Refunds
The amount of a partial refund is determined by the date on which the student applies for it. Below are the details of this policy ：
(1) 90% of tuition fees will be refunded for requests submitted before the term of which a student is most recently enrolled in starts.
(2) 50% of tuition fees will be refunded for requests submitted before one third of classes for the term in which a student is most recently enrolled have been completed.
(3) No refund of tuition fees will be granted after one third of classes for the term in which a student is most recently enrolled have been completed.
Partial tuition refund policies apply to all MLC students. Under all circumstances students must hand in all the necessary documents together before the deadline. In accordance with the stated regulations above, no late applications will be accepted.
