用盡全力寫出來的英文作文總是拿不到滿意的分數嗎？

寫作時隱約發現自己老是重複使用一些簡單的連接詞嗎？

英文作文相當考驗學生的詞彙量，這一點會直接反映在文章中最常出現的「連接詞」！

作為銜接詞語、句子及段落的角色，連接詞使用的好壞影響著語句使否通順、邏輯是否清晰，自然而然也就影響了作文的分數！

最常見的連接詞有「and, but, so」，以下整理了同義的替代詞與例句，趕快記起來實際應用在你的文章裡吧！

AND

1.   along with  除此之外，還...；沿著；一起

California, along with Florida and Hawaii, is among the most popular US tourist destinations. 

除了佛羅裡達和夏威夷之外，加利福尼亞也是人們最常光顧的美國旅遊勝地。

2.   as well (as)  除...之外還；也；和

These scientists study the natural satellites of other planets as well as asteroids and comets.

這些科學家研究其他行星的自然衛星也研究小行星和彗星。

Maggie had a great improvement after studying English abroad last year. She plans to take a language course this winter as well. 

Maggie去年在國外學習英語後有了很大的進步。 她計劃今年冬天也要參加語言課程。

3.   in addition to  此外；除...之外

The company offers attractive employee benefits in addition to a competitive salary.

除了具有競爭力的薪水外，這間公司還提供誘人的員工福利。

4.  besides  此外；而且；除...之外

Besides ability, the other essential element in academic success is diligence.

除了能力之外，學業成功的另一個基本要素是勤奮。

She likes football. Besides, she likes tennis and basketball.

她喜歡足球。 此外，她也喜歡網球和籃球。

5.   furthermore  此外；而且

I don't want to attend the party, furthermore, I have no time to do so.

我不想參加派對，而且，我也沒有時間參加。

SO

1.   as a consequence  結果；所以；因此

Citizens went on strike to fight for their rights last week. As a consequence, the balance between employee and employer will probably shift towards the employee.

上週公民進行罷工以爭取自己的權利。 因此，勞工與雇主之間的平衡可能會傾向勞工。

2.   hence  所以；因此

It is very late; hence you must go to bed.

已經很晚了， 因此你必須上床睡覺。

The company reduces uncertainty and hence anxiety about the future.

3.   thus  如此；因此

The universities have expanded, thus allowing many more people the chance of higher education.

4.   therefore  所以；因此；因而

The cell phone is thin and light, therefore, it is very convenient to carry around.

這支手機輕又薄，因此隨身攜帶非常方便。

5.   ergo  所以；因此

Neither side would have an incentive to start a war. Ergo, peace would reign.

雙方都沒有動機發動戰爭。 因此，和平將是趨勢。

BUT

1.   nevertheless  不過；儘管如此；然而

I knew a lot about the subject already, but her talk was interesting nevertheless.

關於這個話題我已經知道很多，但她的報告聽起來還是很有趣。

2.   however  然而

There may, however, be other reasons that we don't know about.

然而，可能還有其他我們不知道的原因。 

Although it's been a very difficult year for British business, there are, however, one or two items of good news to brighten the economic picture a bit.

儘管對於英國企業來說，這是非常艱難的一年；但是，仍有一兩個好消息可以使英國的經濟狀況有所改善。

3.   nonetheless  然而；但是；儘管

It was only a small donation, it was gratefully received nonetheless.

4.   yet  然而；儘管；尚未

You say that you're good friends and yet you don't trust him. Isn't that a bit of a contradiction?

你說你們是好朋友，但你卻不信任他。這不是有點矛盾嗎？

5.   even though  儘管；雖然

He still managed to become prime minister, even though he left school at 16.

儘管他年僅16歲就輟學了，但最終還是當上了首相。
